Hi!
Multisection bobbins are used to connect windings in series to add inductance and cut down capacitance. If you attached two inductors, that are wound on two separate cores in series, would that have the same effect in cutting down capacitance?
I can't be as easy as adding one of your L2 chokes in series with a high inductance plate choke in order to cut it's capacitance down, right?

Re: Series connection of inductors to cut down capacitance
in theory the capacitance of two identical discrete chokes connected in series should be half of a single choke which should net you an extra octave of top end. In practice I have come close to but never realized that behavior, primarily because the core if grounded to stop stray pickup prevents the 'ideal' series connection of the devices.
