Wiring Elma 47 Position Autoformers
Wiring Elma 47 Position Autoformers
I purchased a Elma 47 Position Autoformers for use as volume control in single ended stereo line stage. The unit has 4 sets of ground, in and out wiring points, a set on each side and a set for each autoformer. How do I wire this. Am I correct that each autoformer is for separate channels, but what is the purpose/use of the duplicate wiring point on each side? Thanks for your assistance.

Hey Craig.
each deck has two sets of connections that are in parallel so they are connected within the boards. I put the extra set of connections on the boards so they can be wired from either side.
Essentially when the unit is installed there will often be one point that is easier / neater to connect depending on the internal layout of what you install it to.
