PCB footprint?

Post by dirkwright »

Hello, I can't find a footprint anywhere on the website for Dave's AVC. I want to install it on a PCB, but obviously I need to pinout and the footrpint in order to do that. Thanks.

Grid pitch is 0.1"
pads are 0.115" with a 0.045" plated through hole

I use sprint PCB and am not sure if the macros are useable in other programs but can provide it if you want.

Thanks Dave. So, the pins are spaced 0.2" on center? Rows are spaced 1.0" on center? Just checking if can count properly...

OK, thanks. I would need one side cover for shielding these. Do you have a source for those that would fit?

Are the dimensions 1.8" x 1.6" x ? Thanks.

For circuit board mounting, I don't need the big metal bar.

and the last dimension? I guess you call it "thickness"??? It looks like an inch or so? I need to know so that it fits in my box.

The Sowter TVC is too tall @ 65mm, and they cannot make a custom version with PC pins (too many they said).

about 1.25" above the PCB. I would contact me privately prior to getting the boards done so we can talk about the actual application in more detail.

the pinout can be whatever you want it to be. For the $200 units it is the picture. It is important to note that there are two flying leads to get 16 positions.

How do you identify pin 1 on your attenuator? Is there are mark on the bobbin? Is that image from the top or bottom of your attenuator?

I don't see any flying leads in this photo. It's not a big deal, but I'll have to wait until I have the attenuators in hand before finishing the test boards.
