1 second .wav files.

I'm looking for some demanding music to enter into spice for real world comparisons. Attach a .wav file here with a brief description then others can use it as a source for sims. Please keep the important part in the first 1 second, longer clips are fine and would be interesting to look at but for the more complex analysis, I'd like to see the good stuff in the first second.

below are some pics of "purple Haze"

To use the file in a sim, you simply need to put the .wav file in your LTsice folder and label a voltage source with... wavefile="file name"

Here is the loudest cannon from the 1812 overture. I added 1/10th a second of a 20hz sine at 0dB before the cut for reference.

Hey Andrew.

You can easily look at the loadline of any tube by simply plotting the current through it and setting the horizotal Axis in the plot pane to the voltage at the anode of the tube. In the example below the anode was labeled "ano" but you could just simply find the node number and use that.

The short story of what I am seeing thus far is that Partridge was right and that designing for max power at 50hz seems to be appropriate.

I threw out the challenge on AA and nobody came up with anything of merit so I guess i need to go into the longer story here. I simply added a few cycles of a 20hz sine to the beginning of the .wav to show the worst case scenario. In the case of the Bach I used 20hz and 40hz (at -3dB) and if you look at it, all of the music resides well within the width 40hz loop and the peaks extend beyond it. The tube is nominally biased at 60ma and the current envelope appears shifted upward which is a bit of a concern but the most important thing to me is that the concept that we need a billion henries to deal with the elliptical loadline may only apply for a 20hz sine wave and not for any type of music.

Getting back to the asymmetrical look, It would be very interesting to invert the phase and run it again, I'm not sure how to do this (lars?) but it may open up a fun new can of worms if what I expect to happen really happens.

1 second wav files

I have an app that came with my sound card from Creative Labs - cant remember the name of it right now - that I tested last night. It will let me record .wav files from my sound card.

Im not very savvy about recording music, but these files will be used in a Flash movie.

Anyone have any tips?
