it´s the first time for me in this forum. I have got the idea, to drive a power output pentode directly with an input transformer. The tube need around 7Vpp at the g1 to get the maximum output. I´ve got a Denon studio CD-Player with symetrical and adjustable outputs. So if I take around 1,7Vpp on the output of my CD-Player, I need a 1:4 step up input transformer. I thought about the Lundahl LL7901 or 7902.
But that all seems to be too simple! Where is the fault
