TRansformer for 112a

Post by slm25 »

Hi Dave

I was thinking of making a just for fun 112a amplifier for my horns .

I have used the 112a in the driving seat but thought I would make an amp just to see how it went

It will be driving horns 200 Hz and up first order HP @ 8ohms

Looks like an rp of 4700 at 8 ma and able to handle a whopping 250 milliwatts

Any thoughts on an output transformer ??

Thanks in advance

Simon

I'd guess 15-20K:8.

The 200hz up means I can get away with a rather small nickel core. (possibly 80%)

Hi Dave

I was thinking 15 K : 8 with as much nickel as you could get in :o)

How expensive would this be ?

Thanks
