How have the auoformers changed over the years
Hi Dave,
Been a very happy user of the original $200 autoformers since 2015.
I am planning on buying another pair and was wondering whether they have been changed in any way since 2015.
What inductance are they presently being set at?
Thanks. nash

AVC now ready
Just completed my AVC build. I used 24AWG solid silver wire to make the connections and the layout is arranged for easy access to enable different lam stackings. Sound is lovely and very well balanced. There is more bass than my TX2575 based passive and contrary to some reports on this forum there i...

Hook up wire for autoformers
I just purchased the $200 autoformers and Dave has also kindly sent me some extra 31AWG magnet wire. I would like to know what wire works best in hooking up the autoformer pins to the attenuator switch? It is a bit difficult for my weak eyes to handle the 31AWG magnet wire. I was thinking of using 2...

Attenuator to drive mono power amps at 8 feet
Hi,
I would like to use the pair of attenuators to drive two mono power amps (F5TV3) about 8 feet away from the attenuator. ie. CD player to attenuator and then to the mono amps. Will this work fine?
Thanks.
Nash

So does this mean that the coarse switch is connected to the autoformer the usual way as in the wiring instructions with the in and ground and the various taps to the switch and the fine switch is in addition connected to one of three switchable taps on the transformer? Is there a wiring diagram to ...

question about New Autoformer Modules
Hi, I have read the details about the db attenuation that each knob achieves but I would like to understand how the second knob achieves the -1.25, 0, +1.25. Is the output from the first 12 step switch sent to the second three step switch at the +1.25db position and then attenuated by a small resist...
