Original AVC pcb and switch available seperately

Hi Dave,

I got the then 200 dollar avc's and was wondering if you sell the pcb with the switches seperately? I want to transplant them into a new preamp would prefer not to do the whole wiring thing again.

Kind regards,
Bas

Geez Rob, don't you know you should not use anything magnetic at all except transformers, chokes and tubes in you amplifiers.? ;)

So I stacked em 1*1...lots of bass..so turned the active sub level down..but somehow..the music sounded distorted...there were no shrill highs or anything...(which I expected from reading previous posts)...but it just sounded broken...so I just went to 3*3...and it sounds best like that..did not hav...

Thanks Dave,

I have actually read that..but somehow I never made a mental note of it. It makes for interesting reading..and I can confirm that the lack of bass in combination with the RAKK DAC is also apparent at 40H...i.e. 12*12 stacking.

Regards,
Bas

I'll probably will be re-stacking mine this evening. The bass response is not good enough. ...my dac has an output impedance of 3000ohm....and I find I have to pad the tweeter down to restore balance.

will the be a significant difference stacking them this way??
Depends on your system and impedance of your source. You've got to just try it. Only way you'll know for sure.

I'll try to post a few pics when I attempt to build mine into a wooden box.

Basically you have to drill a "bigger" hole than the switch you intend using first...before drilling the hole that actually will permit the shaft to go to the "outside" world ;)

Hi Lynn, My first post on this forum, I must admit that I am a bit intimidated by all the "names" on this forum. With regard to the input stage of your Karna, I was wondering why you don't simply choose the brute force solution (or rather the a lot of cash solution) maybe even the "na...
