Hi Guys, I was just wondering, did you got the values by trial and error, or did you do the math? Dave, the coupling cooficient of 1 seems unrealistic. Changing this will also give completely different results again. The sensitivity to values of the whole thing bothers me a bit. Do we really need th...

Hi Guys, Well, the only LRiaa design I know of (from Steve B) uses two IT's in series. This design is simpler than that which I like. Why the leakage inductance should be in the transformer is a good question. The way I see it is that this 'virtual' component might well be a 'perfect' one as long as...

Hi Pete! Very nice! Yes, to model it as a perfect transformer + leakage inductance was my first idea, but I wanted to 'fine tune' the coupling coefficient to translate back to the gap size for the transformer (as per Likhnitsky's formula's). Am not very good in math, so I was unable to translate the...

RX corrector
Hi There, I was the guy who talked to Dave about the RX corrector before. There is a lot to tell, but here are some points: The RX corrector was first proposed by Anotoly Likhnitsky ithe Russian 'Audiomagazine' here: http://www.aml.nm.ru/RX_corrector_eng.htm ; Likhnitsky worked with Sergey Sokolov. ...

Another setup...
A cap / IT coupled 3 stage amplifier where the bias is stepped in the driver stage to see if there are any harmonic cancellation effects in such a setup.

Here you go,
Maybe you can take a peek. I want to sleep tonight
Note btw that the output of the phono stage is correct, after this the autoformer is doing is job correctly. The grid of the Ba receives a signal of correct level, but than the signal gets attenuated.

NC

errorlog
Hi,
No, I don't use the drop down thing. All my tubesmodels are just in dmtriodep.h wich I include.
I attached the log file. I see some strange warnings, but nothing that points me to a concret error in my schematic.
Maybe you see something strange...

.asy
Hi, I noticed that I incorrectly named the .asy file. I changed the filename and now the test circuit works. Still problems thought with the main circuit. It works, but it seems that the tubes don't 'amplify'. The shape of the output waveform is correct only not the amplitude. I will check the .log ...

Thanks, but
Hi Steve, Thanks. Most of the 'errors' you pointed out are due to the copy/paste I did from the original circuit to this 'test' circuit I posted. Sorry about that. I now get the test circuit to work, but my main schematic still has problems. I will dig into this more to look if I made any more obvio...

Why doesn't this work?
Hi, I'm trying to to a time-domain simulation for a complete amplifier. Please look at the enclosed .asc file. dmtriodep.inc includes the correct tube models. The model for the PSU and for the amplifier work seperatly (the amp model show some unexpected 'clipping' with low signal voltages, but alas)...

Full Wave
Hi Dave, Thanks. In LTSPice there is aready a .asy file for a rectifier. It is a full wave rectifier. I would like to use this symbol. I wil dig into the guts of LTSpice and check how I could attach the symbol with a correct model of let's say a 83 rectifier. BTW, In the model I posted on AA of the ...

Rectifier models in LTSPice
Hi there, First post here. I'm mostlyl active on AA. I'm trying to get tube rectifier models to work in LTSpice. I looked at the models on http://www.duncanamps.com/spicevalvesr.html, but appearantly these models are for PSpice and Berkelyspice and don't seem to work in LTSpice. Maybe someone can he...
