Well, you know my head will never understand transformers but you said that a 1:1 is best followed by 4:1 and lastly, 2:1. You will have to forgive me but that is confusing. I already have pair of your speaker level autoformers and as good as they are I think the sound is better without it but then ...

Output transformer for 4P1L linestage
I know I have asked before but wonder if there might be others interested in getting these from you so I post to what seems to be a lonely forum. Hope you look here occasionally Would like to run the tube between 30 and 40 mAs but think it could not hurt to have a little reserve. I would like to hav...

It is an jfet phono stage if that give you an idea
of the out put impedance.
Single ended. The folded cascode that SALAS at DIYAUDIO has given to be used. I do not remember anything being said as to the output impedance.
Sorry to give you nothing but you now to expect that from me.
Are you saying the small cap is the problem?

Using coupling cap as a HP filter before the autoformer ...
attenuator. I am not going for precision here. I am using two coupling paths from a phono amp - one for above 500 and the other ... . Both will be loaded with a 1M resistor and then to each's autoformer attenuator (Yes, I know I only have one, hence the question). The autoformer is driving a single ...

Shunt resistor placement with loudspeaker autoformer
Dave, In the midst of re-configuring my speakers which has made me want to review your posts on the loudspeaker autoformer attenuators - brings a question - would it be better to place the shunt resistor at the loudspeaker instead of at the autoformer, or would it (likely) make no difference at all?...

Are you still making these things?
Sent an email with no reply.
Are you still making these? If so, I would like to get another pair.

Ratio/Multiplier question
Dave, 12 dB attenuation results in a 16:1 impedance ration, as you supplied with this post. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to make these calculations and wonder if you would mind giving the the "impedance ratio" for the following: -10 dB -10.5 db -11 dB, and -11.4 dB So far, I have not ...

A little clarification
The 2001's are eight ohms. I should have made note. After the attenuator, yes, that is what would be there. I have been bi-amping but I am going to single amps for each channel. I am not sure what I am to say? Can you supply an attenuator as requested? I would like a little adjustment but I certainl...

No way to draw it!
Dave, I am hoping I can tell you what I want and you can "see" it. What I intend to do is instead of bi-amplifying as I am now, I want to use one amplifier for everything but the (edgar seismic) subs. Simply: from the amplifier to the choke for the low pass to the sub 500 hz cabinet/horn/a...

Maybe this is a better approach for my application
Dave, THANKS, for your advice on the input inductor. Now I have had another trusted fellow tell me I should just use a speaker level crossover and this brings me back to your forum. I need to attenuate the output of a TAD 4001 in an Edgar round horn. I also use a 2001 above 10K hz with just a capaci...

Using an inductor at the input of an amp for a low pass
filter. (500 hz)
With a 100K input load resistor what would be the disadvantages of using a 31.8 H inductor?
ALSO, would INTACT be willing to make a paid of these for me?
I would rather send you the money instead of SOWTER, that nationalism thing.
Let me know,
Thanks,
Rick McInnis
